Neelie Wicks is the author of three children’s picture books in the Miss Pickle Series – Miss Pickle a Dizzy Witch, Miss Pickle’s Royal Surprise and Miss Pickle in Space, which she is currently planning to release as a 3-in-1 collection of stories in Summer 2019.

Her books are for children aged three to six and are available on line through Amazon, Ingram Spark, Barnes and Noble, Waterstones and UK Bookshops.  She has also written chapter books for middle grade children and is researching a major book project for teens.

As a champion of writers and authors regardless of genre, Neelie is the founder of Skelwicks Arts.  This is a platform for people who are serious about getting their work published, who are prepared to see their projects through to completion, welcome a little help, or encouragement, and want to give back the same to others. The purpose of Skelwicks Arts is to develop an infrastructure of support for authors, writers and illustrators who could benefit from being part of a small community of like-minded people.  Its primary aim is to improve the quality of finished manuscripts, get them published and into the hands of buyers, through personal skills development, marketing collectives and sales opportunities.

Neelie is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, The Alliance of Independent Authors, North East Authors and Writers and Promoting Yorkshire Authors – where she sits on the board as a contributing member to support a programme of events including, a coaching and development programme for author teaching and learning.

Neelie divides her time between North East England and Northern France.  She is now working on the first novel in a series for teens, set in Northern and Southern France, England and other parts of Europe – for publication December 2020.
